According to the United States Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), more than 5 thousand workers were killed on the job in 2016. In an age where safety, efficiency, and reliability are among the top priorities and requirements for on-your-feet workers, this number is staggering and something should be done. That's why at Symbient we strive to develop technologies that augment and assist workers, providing them with a safer, more efficient, and more reliable working environment (or "habitat" as we like to call it).
To start with, we have developed a technology called "Symbient™ Flows™" which uses cutting edge artificial intelligence, speech recognition and synthesis to interact with workers. By using voice technologies, workers can keep their hands and eyes focused on the job before them instead of fumbling with clipboards and swiping on mobile devices.
As issues arise within a habitat, workers can be dispatched in real-time to that location where they will be coached and guided through the process of addressing the issue. As workers perform their work, they can acknowledge the completion of each task by speaking in a normal manner, just as they would when speaking to their supervisor. As tasks are completed, they are recorded by the Symbient™ Flows™ system where they can be reviewed, compared, and analyzed by managers and by Symbient™ Intelligence™ which uses advanced machine learning methods to identify room for improvement and optimized efficiency.
